The CVS-280 is a 280W DC/DC low battery voltage starter (400W peak) designed to ensure reliable morning vehicle start-up for light rail and streetcars. It draws power directly from the catenary or line contact, avoiding delays and downtime for operators. Built to withstand 4.5kV overvoltage peaks, it fully complies with railway standards. Available in four models with multiple input-output combinations, the CVS-280 supports 600 and 750V applications. Its anodized aluminum housing and natural convection cooling enable operation up to 85°C in a compact, robust design.
