Horizon PSS operates integrated production capabilities for custom and semi-custom power systems serving military, medical, space, and industrial OEM programs. Process control extends from initial NRE through production release, ensuring configuration stability, traceability, and compliance documentation throughout the product lifecycle.

Industry Standards
The production facility operates under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification. Manufacturing follows MIL-STD process requirements for military programs, maintains ISO 13485 traceability for medical applications, and complies with RoHS and REACH directives. Standards compliance is embedded in manufacturing process control, not verified after the fact. Procurement teams receive audit-ready documentation that reduces regulatory risk exposure.

Design & Engineering
Program requirements are transformed into qualified designs through advanced CAD tools and simulation software that validate electrical performance, thermal management, and mechanical fit before prototyping. PCB
Multi-layer PCBs are manufactured with controlled impedance, thermal management layers, and high-density interconnect for space-constrained applications. The PCB fabrication process includes design rule verification, impedance testing, and X-ray inspection for via integrity. Boards are manufactured to IPC-6012 Class 3 standards for military and medical programs. This ensures consistent electrical performance and long-term reliability under environmental stress.
Assembly & Soldering
Surface Mount Technology (SMT) provides high-density component placement while Through-Hole Technology (THT) delivers mechanical robustness. Soldering is performed to IPC-A-610 Class 3 acceptance criteria. Automated optical inspection (AOI) and X-ray verification catch defects before functional test. The assembly process includes ESD controls, moisture-sensitive component handling, and lot traceability for compliance documentation. Every board is traceable to component lot codes and assembly records.

Testing and Quality Control
Every unit undergoes electrical verification, environmental stress screening, and burn-in testing before shipment. Testing includes input transient testing, output load regulation verification, and EMI pre-compliance checks. Military programs receive altitude derating validation and MIL-STD-810 environmental qualification. Medical programs receive leakage current verification and safety agency compliance testing. Test data is documented in formats that support DHF requirements and regulatory audits.
