G5.BAS Battery Simulator Series

The G5.BAS series is bidirectional regenerative. It was developed specifically for the simulation of energy storage devices and batteries and is suitable for use in laboratories and on test benches. The modular and finely graded G5.BAS series is characterized by highly dynamic response times and a wide current-voltage range with an auto-ranging factor 3. The power supplies are equipped with the powerful application software BatSim and reproduce the electrochemical and electrical properties of different battery types in charge and discharge mode realistically and in real-time. This is done based on battery models that can be configured easily and
conveniently.

    • Bidirectional and regenerative battery simulator, capable of both charge and discharge operations with realistic battery models.

    • Supports CV, CC, CP, CR, Ri/Gi simulation modes, with autoranging (factor of ~3) for wide voltage/current ranges.

    • Very fast dynamic response times: ~150-220 µs for voltage, ~35-70 µs for current steps.

    • High precision: voltage accuracy ~0.01-0.02 % FS, current accuracy ~0.03-0.09 % FS; with extra high-resolution measurement for small currents.

    • Modular & scalable: parallel, series, or mixed configurations; cabinet/rack integration; software control (BatSim), APIs, USB/Ethernet interfaces.
